Much has happened:
- I got way lost trying to drive from Ryde to Carnley Heights
- I discovered that my DVD played apparently doesn't want to play sound anymore
- I finally got a wireless card put in my 'puter (though seems that we still can't get a decent reception in MAC)
- I called Unwired again in complete despair about their terrible lack of service
- I discovered the Macquarie Centre
- I cooked a very yummy potato gnocchi with pumpkin and pine nuts meal
- I went to the Blue Mountains
- I had flowerpot scones at the Wayzgoose cafe
- I tried to start a fire in the fireplace and failed (I'm thinking this is one of the God-given roles of males)
- I tried to turn on the central heating and failed (ibid)
- I discovered fries with aioli
- I read 3 fiction books
- I'm onto my 4th
- I watched The Notebook and cried.... again
- I watched Casino Royale and laughed a lot
- I watched Bride and Prejudice again and have been singing 'No life (doo doo dodo doo) without wife' ever since
- I had Christmas in July
- I got a brand new hair makeover
- I went to Ikea
- I discovered where countries such as Estonia, Moldova and Malta are on the European map
- I watched 28 Days Later through the fingers which covered my eyes for most of the movie
- I bought a new necklace
- I had pancakes for breakfast this morning
- I bought and received a Kris Kringle present
- I still have no idea what's going on with Lost
- I laughed a lot at The Poo's new dating show
- I spent some good quality time with friends
- I spent some good quality time by myself
- I spent some good quality time with God
- I thought a lot about the amount of work I have to do this week

* The Macquarie Centre is great - I work nearby, and it's decidedly dangerous to have me in such sustained proximity to a Borders.
* The Girl Guide in me bristles at the idea that firelighting is secret men's business
* I loved Casino Royale, but I'm rather myopic when it comes to James Bond.
* I also loved Bride & Prejudice, and I'm also rather myopic when it comes to Jane Austen ;-) (And the soundtrack is great running music!)
I'm glad you seem to have had a refreshing break. It does the world of good.

Hi Dani
I love The Notebook
Before you were born, the bloke acting as the old bloke used to be in a great TV detective series called The Rockford Files. Very enjoyable, but I think The Notebook is better.
The Notebook reminds me that my mother wrote the story of her first 30 years about 12 years ago, and now has no recollection of doing it, though on a good day, she can tell you the next lines.
I'm so glad she wrote it down, because it tells the story of how she went to became a Christian, went to bible college and then went to India as a missionary, met my dad and came home and started our family.
